Happy New  Year!

Hi everyone~

I decided to make a couple of cards today, but am just posting this....it's the only one that's "post worthy"!

I used my stash....just like usual!  I love to go things that I already have.  I used Tim Holtz rosette die to make a rosette.  Behind it is a Martha Stewart doily.  On top is a sticker that I bought ALONG time ago at a
bridal store.  The center is a Spare Parts brad.

I love the elegant look I got with this card!  Used black card stock for the base and the print paper is from a pad of paper I got at Hobby Lobby.  Next is just some creamy colored paper and then on top of that is a medium colored gray.  I embossed it and cut a scallop using My Favorite Things die.  Next I cut a strip of black card stock and embossed that with Swiss dot folder.  I added some Prima lace and the bling I bought at Jo Ann's   Also used Spellbinders ribbon die and some old paper distress ink.  I just typed Happy New Year on my computer.
Thanks for stopping by....please let me know you were here!!
Happy New Year!

2nd Mojo Monday 265 post

Well, I got it done!  Made a circle card for one of each for Mojo Monday 265!  YEAH!!

I don't do circle card very often and they challenge me, but I am happy with the results of this one.  Love to use pop ups to give depth to a card.

I punched out some snowflakes and used Glimmer Mist on them, but it doesn't show up in the picture. The little white snowflake I took off of a card I got a few years ago.

The holly and poinsettia are from K&Company. They have been in my stash and I love using them.

Here is my end result!  I'm happy with it and I just took both of the cards outside and put them in a shrub off the patio.  Hope they look ok that way.  Once again, thank you for taking the time too look and to comment.  I love to know that you have been here.  kathy

Hope that all of you are safe and not feeling the affects from hurricane Sandy!  Today I went to a place called Albanese Candy factory close by my home.  They always have great candies to give for Halloween and other occasions.  We are having dinner with some friends next weekend.  We call it Harvest Fest.  I wanted to take a little something so I've got some sweets to give our hostess.

This is what I came up with!  Thanks for taking a look.

Mojo Monday 261

Hi Everyone!  Hope you are all enjoying some great fall days.  It was a warm 78 here in NW Indiana today, very windy, but a wonderful fall day.  I was off work today and was buy my local scrapbook store and stopping in to take a look.  I picked up Authentic fall line 6X6 pad.  That is what all the pattern paper is on my card that I am sharing today.  I used Tattered Leaves die to cut 2 leaves for the focal point.

I've had that nut in my stash...I'm sure I got it at Hobby Lobby last year.  I wrinkled up the leave to give it a realistic look and inked the edges too.

Also added a little felt leaf and another nut! :)

This "Have Fun" stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's.  I've had this for a while too.

And here is the finally look at my take on Mojo Monday 's card!  Thanks for stopping by.....oh, and I would love to hear what you think of it. :)  Thanks for taking the time to comment!!

Thanks for stopping in today.  I've got something that I think is kind of cool to share with all of you today.  My father is in a nursing home and the sibs and I have been trying to get his house all cleaned out.  It's a family farm that has been in the family for 4 generations.  It's a very special place to all of us.  My mom and dad were collections of MANY, MANY different things primarily antiques.  While going through one of the boxes,  I came across these.

They are some labels for a can of tomatoes that were never on a can!  I thought they were something I needed to bring home.

What to do with them?  I decided to use part of one to make a card.  My bestie grows some wonderful cherry tomatoes and give us a lot of them.

See below the date is on the bottom.

This is the card I came up with for Cheri.  She is always so generous and her tomatoes are delicious!

I just love how it turned out letting the image do all the work!
Thanks for looking.

MOJO MONDAY

Hi everyone!  Here I am again sliding in by the skin of my teeth!!  About the only time I get to make anything anymore is on Sunday.  The pics not the greatest because it just rained here this afternoon, so it's still cloudy.
I am always drawn to My Mind's Eye paper and with that being said, the patterned paper is Lost & Found Halloween.  The colors are soft and muted like I like.  I don't remember the name of the place that I ordered the wonderful crinkle ribbon from, but it's so cool  because of how the colors run together....love that!
Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week!

I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I been enjoying SUMMER!  I've made a few cards here and there, but not taken the time to do pics and posts...forgive me?!
Mojo Monday is always great for inspiration and while its a gloomy day here in NW Indiana, I thought I'd make a birthday card for a co-worker.  Do you ever get tired of Graphic 45?  NOT me...even though it's one of the older lines, I still love it and think it works nicely with this sketch.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are enjoying what ever season you are in right now.

Mojo Monday 237

Hi!  Thanks for taking a peek today at my Mojo Monday creation.  I took the day off and planned on just staying home and playing with paper.  Somethings interfered with those plans, but none the less I got time to do what I wanted :)  Got a total of 5 cards made so far!  Here is the Mojo Monday   237 through my eyes.  I know there were supposed to be 4 "things", but I could only fit 3, so 3 it is!

The weather here today is grey, so I apologize for the picture, but believe me it was hard to get a half way descent one.  Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Party

Hi!  Hope all of you are getting ready for Easter.  It's always a wonderful time to get together with family and enjoy each other....some much to be grateful for.  I wanted to share a card I made for someone that made the Graphic 45 team.  That is such an accomplishment and deserves a card created with Graphic 45 papers, don't you think? I also used some Webster journal cards on here (that's the let's party card).  This past weekend I got to meet up with a friend and go to Polly's Paper Studio and I scored there!  Also picked up the cool flower there.  I don't know who the manufacturer is though.  The stick pin I made and thought it might go nicely on there.  The chipboard crown I got at Michael's in the $1 bin.  Thanks for stopping by!    kathy

                                                            Here is the back yard

                                                                 Here is the side yard

                                                            More of the side yard

The rest of the side yard

Here is a view from the front!  Thanks for stopping by my place this afternoon.

Mojo Monday 233

Hi everyone!  Thanks for taking a peek at my Mojo Monday card.  LOVE having these sketches to work with.  I decided to use some brighter spring like colors since that is the weather we are having here in NW Indiana.  It was 85 today!  UNHEARD of....in March.  Anyway....back to the card.

This cute gingham check flower I got at Michael's for $1.50 for 12 :)  the yellow flower I've had forever, it's a Prima.  The little bee I've had in my stash and believe its from K&Company.

I used my Spellbinders lacey square and used distress ink in straw.  The scallop on the left in green was cut with a die from Stampin' Up!

Used some pop up dots for some depth....

And this is the finished card!  See you soon...

Time Flies

Hi there!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I got these papers and stickers at Joann's the other day.  It was all on SALE!  Picked up some really good items there.

Used some of Pink Paislee's butterfly 3D stickers.

The border is from Stampin'Up!.  I used some pop up dots under the top layer to add some depth.

This sweet little flower with the heart stick pin is from Lil Sweetpea!  I won some candy on her blog and this was on the bag she gave me the candy in.  Isn't it cute??!! I added some crinkle ribbon and twine behind that.

Here is the end result!  Thanks for stoppin' in today.  Hope you have a great day.

Adore

This little card was another design from Mojo Monday.  If you haven't checked it out, you should.  You get a great sketch to create a card with.  The sketch is the hard part for me if I try to come up with it on my own!  How about you??

                                                              The lace is from Prima.

The name of the flower escapes me...sorry!  The paper line is My Minds Eye....I should have stock in the company!  Love all their lines.

Not the best picture...I'll try to do better next time.  Cut some of the top off .....OOOPPPSS!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!  Hope you enjoyed looking.
                                                      Enjoy your evening~kathy

Happy Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!

I've had some computer "issues" that have kept me from posting, so I hope I can get caught up.
There are some new cards to show you from Mojo Monday sketches....this is a sketch from a couple of weeks ago.  I've never posted on there yet, but hope to this week.  Anyway....on to the birthday card.

The papers I used are from BoBunny Gabrielle collections.

This is what I came up with.  Typed Happy Birthday on my computer and then centered a Spellbinder over it.  Had some little cream colored flowers so one went on here with a peachy colored ribbon behind it.  The little pearls just add something I felt was needed.
Thanks for stopping by~
